Jersey Gardens, Osterley -
Hello and Welcome to Jersey Gardens
***************************************************************
After a mild winter we have seen sun, sleet, snow and the arrival of snow drops, daffodils and crocuses. Tulips are also on their way - a new annual cycle starts.
As usual, the snow (albeit very little in the south) caused chaos but disappeared very quickly.
This year is going to be hard but we need our community spirit more than ever. Help with the parks' upkeep, being aware of what is going on around us.
It is sad to see how little pride there is in what we have - vandalism, littering is a constant now and, as volunteers, the Friends' groups of parks have to clean up, along with the councils. We do this because we love the parks we work for and want visitors and residents to get the same pleasure we have. We do wonder why people canot take their rubbish with them and clean up after their pets: when the question was asked the answer was: "Someone else will do it"!
This is not the attitude for communities to adopt - with all the cutbacks councils have had to make, we (Friends of Jersey Gardens) along wth other Friends groups are asking local residents to join with us to help with the small jobs needed to keep their parks tidy and clean
If you could spare some time please contact us secretary@jerseygardens.info

Residents - we meed your help to return Jersey Gardens to its former glory - it deserves it - a fantastic history that should be treasured. Did you know there were plans to sell the Gardens to Ealing Housing for 'affordable homes' a few years ago? This could happen again with the current financial climate. It's not hard work and does not take up alot of time but is fun and so worth any effort to keep the park at its best. It is YOUR park - be part of it.
Let us all take care of our surroundings in the future and help protect our green  spaces/ parks from possible development
