Our 2010 Summer Fayre, on Sunday 1 August was a fantastic event, our best yet!.
For Friends of Jersey Gardens, the day started early. The weather looked good and we were set for a great day.
Stall owners began to arrive and set up. Soon the Gardens were filling up with colour and smiling faces.
At 1pm the Mayor of Hounslow, and the Vicar of St Mary's Church, Osterley, were kind enough to get things going with a dedication prayer and official opening.
Many admired the newly painted gates, kindly done by a resident volunteer, making such a difference to the whole look of the area.
Wonderful food, artistic items on stalls, fresh popcorn and ice cream. Our local village store in Thornbury Road provided some very tasty indian food from its new 'eatery' situated in the store.
At the same time, the Osterley Bowls Club and Osterley Library had opened their doors to all as the Library, having received an impressive face-lift, was on show to all. More very good food and some bubbly to celebrate!
It really was A GREAT day for all the family
